8th Grade Volleyball Tops Pella Christian

The 8th Grade A and B volleyball teams were in action last night at Pella Christian. The A team bounced back from a slow start and won 3-0 with game scores of 25-18, 25-16, and 15-8. Celli Pilcher had 2 aces and 8 digs. Cadence Grubb had 4 kills and 4 aces. Ireland McGraw had 4 kills and 1 ace. Hannah VanArkel had 2 kills and 3 aces. Jenna Harbour had 4 kills, 2 assists, and 4 aces. Cylee Smith had 4 kills, 1 assist, and 11 aces. Haylee Parker had 2 kills, 15 assists, and 3 aces.

The B team also had a slow start but rallied back for a 3-0 win with the game scores of 25-21, 25-4, and 15-13. Kennedi Wright had 2 kills and 6 assists. Kyleigh Carmer had 1 kill, 3 digs, and 8 aces. Carly Hammond served 7 aces and 3 digs. Kenna Grubb served 7 aces and 2 digs. Emily Medina had 2 kills. Kaylee Main had 2 kills and 2 aces. Lean Lorentzen had 3 kills and 4 aces.

I am proud of the way both teams worked together to rally back and get the sweep for the night! Next week the C team plays Osky Christian on Monday and the whole 8th grade team travels to Norwalk on Tuesday.
