Tucker Claims All-America Award
Oskaloosa–Spencer Tucker (Sr., Oskaloosa, Iowa, Sports Management) reached the pinnacle of success to close out his career as the Ping-NAIA All-America teams were announced Tuesday.
Tucker was named Third-Team All-America, one of 16 players to garner the recognition.
It is the first All-America award of his career, the first ever for William Penn from Ping, and the second honor in the program’s history. He joins Zachary Chegwidden (third team from the NAIA in 2018) as the only other All-American for WPU.
Tucker was consistently at the top of the leaderboard this year, posting a school-record single-season stroke average of 71.7 over 19 rounds. All 19 of his rounds were under 80, including five in the 60s. He broke par on nine occasions with a season-low round of 65 at the Navy and Gold Classic back on September 13.
Tucker, who was an all-Heart of America Athletic Conference honoree this season (third overall), closes out his Statesmen career with a 75.3 stroke average over 75 rounds which ranks fourth in school history.
