Transform’s gymnasts compete in Ankeny

The Transform Academy gymnasts JO (Junior Olympic) Compulsory Team competed in their 3 meet of the season on Saturday October 20th at the Jump Jivin’ Invitational in Ankeny, IA. Host team was Triad Gymnastics from Ankeny and was held at the Kingdom Hoops facility. The Compulsory Team has a total of 7 meets for the season which includes the state meet held in Clive this year the second weekend of December.

The host team, Triad, does their grouping of ages a bit different from our gyms. They divide their age groups into Junior A, B, C, & D. It is still based on age per level but harder to predict the beginning and end age of the groups per level.

Level 4:

Lydia Van Veldhuizen—Junior A age group—Vault- 8.550, Tie-9th. Uneven Bars- 6.600, 10th. Balance Beam- 6.900, 9th. Floor- 7.200, 7th. All-Around- 29.250, 9th.
Rylee Ebelsheiser—Junior B—VT- 8.900, 6th. UB- 8.275, 8th. BB- 7.450, 9th. FX- 7.950, Tie-8th. AA- 32.575, 8th.

The team’s next competition is November 3rd & 4th at the Harvest Hoedown in Waukee hosted by Sapphire Gymnastics out of Urbandale. Host teams often rent equipment and have at an off-site facility to accommodate spectators and have more room for the gymnasts.
