The Amazing Monarch

Iowa State University Extension

Monarch butterflies are the most beautiful of all butterflies, they are considered the King of Butterflies, hence the name Monarch. There are a lot of very interesting things to learn about the Monarch Butterfly. Jacque Hough, Monroe County Master Gardener, will share many of them in a powerpoint presentation Tuesday November 6 at 7 pm at the Mahaska County Extension Office. This event is open to the public and there is no charge to attend. All who are interested are encouraged to attend.

More information about this and other horticulture programs can be found at the Mahaska County Extension Office; 212 North I Street; Oskaloosa; Phone 641-673-5841; and www.extension.iastate.edu/mahaska/yardgarden.htm .
