Storms tear up Lynville-Sully School

Lynville-Sully High School had a rough day at school today. According to the latest statement from the National Weather Service in Des Moines. An air exchanger on the gym building was ripped off. The roof itself sustained damage with about one fourth of it being ripped off and tossed 50 to 100 feet to the east causing damage to some trees. One windows was blown out as well.

No injuries are reported.

According to a statement released on the Lynville-Sully website. We experienced high winds here at L-S but want you to know that everyone is safe and no one is harmed. The m-s gym roof did sustain some damage, as did the DTFC roof. Once again, everyone here at L-S is safe. Classes will be held as usual on Wednesday, 9-22-10. Shane Ehresman, Superintendent
