Statesmen Compete at Central Last Chance Invite

Pella–A handful of William Penn men’s wrestlers saw action Friday as they competed at the Central Last Chance Invitational.

Mason Walters (Fr., Independence, Mo., Exercise Science) guided a quartet of individuals who won matches Friday. The 174-pounder pinned one opponent and defeated another by major decision.

Hector Diaz (Fr., Miami, Fla., Secondary Education) was also a two-time winner (both by decision), doing so at 141 pounds.

165-pounder Elioth Erazo (Fr., Miami, Fla., Business Management) won once by fall, while 149-pounder Troy Mita (Fr., San Jose, Calif., Nursing) had his hand raised on one occasion as well.

Next Up: William Penn returns to Oskaloosa next Saturday to host the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship at 9 a.m.
