Granger–The William Penn men’s golf team posted its lowest scores of the year on Sunday and Monday as it competed in the Grand View Invitational.

The Statesmen placed tenth out of 13 varsity teams with a two-day tally of 596 (303-293) at the par-71 Jester Park Golf Course. Bellevue (Neb.) held on for the team title with a 565 (277-288), while its own Jose Mario Vega tied Joar Bjelkholm of Ashford at four-under 138.

The sophomore, who tied for 29th, tied his own career record Monday.
