Smith, Hacker Notch Statesmen of the Week Honors

Oskaloosa–Men’s lacrosse player Jeremy Smith (Sr., Camano Island, Wash., Sociology) and softball player Hayle Hacker (Fr., Oskaloosa, Iowa, Nursing and Human Services) have been named the Statesmen of the Week for the week of March 28-April 3, presented by Gardner-Collier Jewelry.

Smith tallied 10 saves in a pair of Statesmen victories. He managed five saves against Clarke last Monday and then another five versus Midland last Saturday.

Hacker held down #11 Central Methodist last Sunday, limiting the Eagles to only one run on three hits in a five-inning performance. She struck out two and walked two in the outing.
