Visitation: 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., with the family present to greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell

Roger was born on March 4, 1942 in Mankato, Minnesota to Clarence Levi Langford and Mae Viola Bishop Langford. He was raised and educated near Mankato.

He was united in marriage to Victoria Tish on August 21, 2004 at Arbor Lake in Grinnell. The couple has resided in Grinnell following their marriage.

Roger dearly loved his family and enjoyed every moment with his grandchildren. His enjoyments included collecting John Wayne and Dale Earnhart memorabilia, working outdoors mowing and weeding his flower garden, fishing, karaoke, and he looked forward to making coffee for his friends at Game Time every morning.

Roger is survived by his wife, Victoria Langford of Grinnell; his sons, Dan (Marcy Kingery) Langford of Newton and Rick Langford of Newton; his granddaughter, Summer; his step-children, Patrick Langford of Belle Plaine, Iowa, Dominic Langford, who is presently serving in the US Army, Tisha Langford of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, John Langford of Belle Plaine, Rodney Tish of Missouri, Cheryl Hamilton of Grinnell, Teresa (Randy) Williams of Brooklyn, Danny (Tami) Tish of Brooklyn; his step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his siblings, Dennis Langford of Virginia, John and Jerry Langford of Minnesota, and Ellen Langford of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents.
