Robert Ruggles, 79, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Serenity House in Oskaloosa. Robert Lee Ruggles was born June 28, 1939 in Greyville, Mo., the son of Henry and Iva Ruggles.

Robert enjoyed hosting cookouts for family and friends, spending time with his grandchildren, and tinkering in the garage.

Robert is survived by his wife, Pancy Ruggles; five sons: Dakota (& Stacy) Ruggles, Jason (& Tracy) Ruggles, Mark (& Misty) Ruggles, Kris Ruggles, and Robbie Smithburg; two brothers, Jessie (& Patricia) Ruggles, and Sam Ruggles. Robert also leaves behind 24 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Dean Ruggles and Fred Clay.

A memorial gathering will be held at noon on April 6, 2019 at Thomas Hall in What Cheer.
As were his wishes, his body has been cremated.
