Question of the week: Have you been annoyed with the recent negative campaign ads?

Last week we asked you if you believe that students should have school permits. 46 residents responded with 28 residents (61%) voting yes, 16 residents (35%) voting no and 2 residents (4%) voting not sure. The question of the week poll is unscientific and does not reflect the view of Osky News.

This week we are shifting to a more political question. For over the couple of months, we have been seeing attack ad after attack ad by both parties on their candidates. It usually entails a he said she said incident when usually the party paying for the ad is guilty of what they are blaming on the other party. The ads have really brought out the worst of both parties and it would seem that it is beginning to turn off the voters. However, some people have said that the ads are good and that it truly shows what the other candidate is guilty of doing. They point out that the campaigns specifically cite their sources so that it must be true.
