Question of the Week: Do you still like the Oskaloosa Lighted Christmas Parade?

Oskaloosa, Iowa- Last week, we asked you if you believe religion belongs in politics. 59 residents responded with 35 residents (59%) saying-No; 23 residents (39%) saying-Yes; and one resident (2%) saying-Unsure. The Question of the Week Poll is unscientific and does not reflect the views or opinions of Osky News.

This week  we shift to a local issue. This year, Oskaloosa will hold its 25th annual Lighted Christmas Parade. The parade’s theme this year is Silver Bells. As in years past, it will start at its usual time and continue along the same parade route. The Parade will be held on December 1st and 2nd. Attendance has started to go down in years past and some wonder if the parade still has a lot of support.

Those who still like the parade cite its tradition and the community spirit it generates. Those who no longer like the parade cite smaller floats and turnout. Tell us: Do you still like the Oskaloosa Lighted Christmas Parade?

Now its your turn to decide. Vote in our online poll. The poll will be open until next Sunday when we will close the poll and release the final voting results. If you have any questions, you may e-mail us or contact us on our Facebook Page.
