Question of the week: Did Oskaloosa handle RV-TV well?

It appears that our residents were correct about the Iowa/ISU game this past weekend. You voted in favor of Iowa with 29 residents (85%) voting yes and 5 residents (15%) voting no. On Saturday, Kirk Ferentz blew out Paul Rhodes and his Cylclones 35-7.

This weeks question deals with the response to RV-TV. When residents found out that RV-TV would be coming to Oskaloosa, they seemed to be very happy. When y0u watched the news that night, it looked like everyone was enjoying themselves and that it was probably the best thing that could happen. However, when the crowd died down and was waiting to regroup for the 10:00 news, we caught up with some residents and were surprised at what we heard. One resident was quick to place the blame on the chamber of commerce saying they dropped the ball. Many residents said that we need more tailgating events and events for the kids. We also talked to some local businesses all of whom said that the event did not affect business in a good or bad way.
