Putzier, Hunter Garner Statesmen of the Week Awards

Oskaloosa–Men’s lacrosse player Breck Putzier (Fr., Minneapolis, Minn.) and women’s track and field athlete Katherine Hunter (Sr., Bloomfield, Iowa) have been named the Statesmen of the Week for the week of March 21-27, presented by Gardner-Collier Jewelry.

Putzier helped the Statesmen to a pair of wins, beginning with scoring four goals Tuesday against Saint Mary (Kan.) in an 18-1 triumph. The freshman then managed four more scores with three assists in a 25-4 win over Missouri Valley on Wednesday.

Hunter won her lone race of the week at the Grand View Viking Relays, beating all competitors in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:12.24.
