Oskaloosa School Board Member Resigns Effective June 1

Laurie Fiscella submitted her resignation on Tuesday night to Superintendent Russ Reiter effective June 1, 2013. Ms. Fiscella felt it was difficult to fulfill the responsibilities and the demands of the Board due to family commitments and her new career.

The Board of Education will begin looking to replace Ms Fiscella’s position in June. By law, the Board has 30 days to appoint a replacement for the vacated position form the effective date. Ms. Fiscella will continue to serve and is committed to performing her duties through the end of May.

Ms. Fiscella has served the past 8 years and has been an outstanding Board Member. Her dedication to the Oskaloosa Community School District, it’s students, and staff has been greatly appreciated.
