Oskaloosa Police Department Investigates Burglary at Local Business

Oskaloosa, IA – On Thursday, officers from the Oskaloosa Police Department responded to a reported burglary at Hometown Wine & Spirits, located at the intersection of A Avenue East and 11th Street. The incident involved the theft of vape products and alcoholic beverages from the store.

Upon arrival, officers worked with the store owner to review in-store camera footage, which provided crucial evidence for the investigation. The footage enabled officers to identify and locate the suspects involved in the burglary.

As a result of the investigation, two juveniles were charged with burglary in the 3rd degree, classified as a Class D felony, and with minor possession of alcohol. The juveniles were referred to the juvenile court officer and placed in detention.

It is important to note that a criminal charge is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
