Oskaloosa Girls Track Team Wraps Up Regular Season with Strong Performance in Pella

PELLA, Iowa — The Oskaloosa girls track and field team closed out the regular season on a high note Monday evening at Pella, capturing multiple event victories and setting several personal and season-best performances ahead of Thursday’s district meet.

Leading the way were four event champions. Delaney Harbour claimed the top spot in the long jump, while Tierney Carter secured a win in the 800-meter run. Emmalee Wells-Stout added a victory in the 400-meter hurdles, and the Sprint Medley Relay team of Vivian Bolibaugh, Miley McCain, Harbour, and Carter also took first place.

The team showed depth and continued improvement with personal records across various events. Kate McBurney set new PRs in both the 3000 and 800-meter runs. Other personal bests included Monica Hundley in the 200-meter dash, Rees Campbell in the shot put, Vivian Bolibaugh in the 100-meter dash, Hannah VanArkel in the 200, Delaney Harbour in the 400, and Miley McCain in the 800.

Capping off the evening was a season-best performance by the 4×100 meter relay team of Bolibaugh, McCain, Hundley, and Harbour, showing promising speed heading into the postseason.

The team now shifts its focus to the district meet on Thursday, where athletes will compete for the chance to qualify for the state championships. With strong momentum and consistent progress, the Oskaloosa girls are poised to make an impact as they enter the final stretch of the season.
