Oskaloosa Fire and Police Department Not Endorsing Advertising Project

It has been reported to the Oskaloosa Police Department that a fundraising company has been soliciting funds from local businesses, as well as residents, by contacting them via telephone and e-mail. This company has been selling dry-erase boards (which attach to kitchen appliances via magnets) with advertising on them. The company has also been telling individuals and businesses that the Oskaloosa Fire Department and the Oskaloosa Police Department, as well as their employees, have endorsed this project.

Although it is believed that this company is a legitimate organization, the Oskaloosa Fire Department and the Oskaloosa Police Department does not endorse this fundraising effort, nor do the employees from either Department. All fundraising done on behalf of the Fire Department and Police Department will be done in-person by employees of these agencies.
