Oskaloosa Iowa City Council Chambers

The Oskaloosa City Council will meet in regular session tonight at 6:30 pm. The council is expected to approve a request from the chamber of commerce to hold their annual lighted christmas parade. The parade is expected to begin at about 7:30 pm with it ending at approximently 8:30 pm. The parade is expected to go on the same route as in years past.

In addition to the request from the chamber of commerce, the city council will consider a request to authorize the mayor to sign a letter of support for the Mahaska Community Recreation Foundation for their grant application. The application is for a 1.8 million dollar tourism and attraction grant and if received, will be used for the William Penn University Stadium Project.

Lastly, City Manager Michael Schrock will hold a community member presentation at the end of the meeting.

The City Council meets in the city council chambers on the third floor of the city hall at 6:30 pm.
