Oskaloosa City Band Set To Perform Tonight

The Oskaloosa City Band will perform Thursday evening at 8 p.m. on Oskaloosa’s historic bandstand. Highlights of this week’s concert include tunes recognizable by all ages, such as the theme from “Scooby-Doo”, “Let It Go” from the motion picture “Frozen”, and Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”. Other familiar tunes include “Beautiful Sunday” and “Morning Has Broken”.

Each week, the band celebrates birthdays and anniversaries. The audience is encouraged to add to the list on the clipboard at the bottom of the bandstand steps.

Supper in the Park festivities begin at 5:30 with yard games provided by Mahaska Drug. This week’s food vendors will be Calico Jack’s and Sno-Biz. Plan to spend an enjoyable evening along with friends and neighbors at this week’s concert in the City Square Park.
