The Oskaloosa City Band performs each Thursday at 8pm in the evening during summer.

The Oskaloosa City Band will perform on the bandstand on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. This week’s concert includes: “Bugler’s Holiday” (featuring the trumpets), “Them Basses” (featuring the low brass and woodwinds), and pop tunes made famous by The Beatles and Van Morrison. The band will also perform a wide variety of marches and a theme song from a Disney movie.

Each week, local businesses provide complimentary refreshments, including: cold beverages (Hawkeye Real Estate), popcorn (TruBank), and snow cones (SnoBiz). Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and invite a friend or a neighbor to enjoy a favorite Oskaloosa summer tradition. Attendees are encouraged to blow bubbles during the concert, especially during the final song.

At each July concert, the Oskaloosa High School Cheer Squad will be having an Ice Cream Bar fundraiser and will be selling bowls of ice cream and deluxe sundaes.
