Oskaloosa Boys Tennis Takes Third at Competitive Ottumwa Invitational

The Oskaloosa boys tennis team turned in a strong performance Saturday at the Ottumwa Invitational, finishing third overall in a field that included two returning state-level teams, Ottumwa and Fairfield. The meet featured a full day of singles and doubles action, with each player competing in six matches throughout the event.

Oskaloosa held its own against experienced opponents, with many matches coming down to close sets and tiebreakers. From the top of the lineup through the sixth spot, every player contributed competitive play in both singles and doubles, reflecting the team’s growth and consistency.

Despite the long day on the courts and the physical toll of multiple back-to-back matches, the team remained sharp and showed that their hard work in practice is translating to in-season success.
