Oskaloosa Booster Club to hold fruit and nut sales

The Oskaloosa Band Boosters will begin their Annual Fruit and Nut sale Monday, October 25, 2010 and conclude Monday, November 8, 2010. All Oskaloosa High School and 7th and 8th grade band students will be selling a wide range of products this year, including several new items. Students will offer usual fruit packages with apples, oranges and grapefruit, along with outstanding nuts and chocolates. New items include three types of cheesecakes and a selection of meat and cheese packages.
All proceeds from the Annual Fruit and Nut sales benefit the band programs at Oskaloosa Community Schools. Funds raised help with instrument expenses at the elementary, middle and high school. The Fruit and Nut sale also helps with uniforms expenses, as well as travel to competitions. Students will receive a percentage of sales to help defray costs of the 2013 band trip.
