OHS Bowlers Celebrate First Season

Coach Clark and the OHS Bowling Team that were on hand for the banquet

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The first year can always be rough, but this Oskaloosa High School Bowling Team enjoyed the challenge.

“Bowling went really good this year,” said coach Chris Clark,  stating that the bowlers did well in learning throughout the year. “A lot of kids, it was their first year and their first time ever bowling really; competitively.”

Coach Clark said he hopes that next year the team size will double, from the nearly 20 bowlers of this year. “I think that bowling is a growing sport and that it will go somewhere in Oskaloosa.”

A team can travel to an event with 6 members. This year the bowling team had only 5 and the challenge has been put forward to fill that team out for next year. “I think we’ll get more girls out next year since they know what it is now,” was Coach Clark’s thoughts about the team for next year. It appears that there will be a full team for the boys squad.
