NM Will Host 2A Opener

DES MOINES – North Mahaska will open their march to the state girls’ basketball tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 18. They will host the winner of Pella Christian (7-11) and Colfax-Mingo (6-15) , which plays on Saturday, Feb. 15.

The other quarterfinal in North Mahaska’s bracket will have Grundy Center (12-7) and Alburnett (8-10). The winners will meet in the regional semifinal in New Sharon on Friday, Feb. 21.

In the bottom half of the bracket, Lisbon (8-12) and East Marshall (2-18) face off with the winner going to Jesup (15-3). In the other part of the bracket is Hudson (14-5) facing Columbus Catholic (2-17) with the winners at Jesup in the semifinal.
