Nina Vande Weerdhof, 58, of Oskaloosa died Friday, January 3, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Nina was born Friday, November 25, 1955 in Hugo, Oklahoma. She married Richard Vande Weerdhof and they later divorced.
Nina was a homemaker mainly, but also had various jobs throughout her life. She was lastly employed at Dooley’s in Oskaloosa.
Nina enjoyed listening to music, keeping in touch with people on Facebook and had a love of life in general. She was known for always living life on her terms.
Her family includes her son: Justin (& Jhen) Cordova of Mills Creek, North Carolina and their children Evinty, Sophia, and Lilianna; her Daughter: Ashley Vande Weerdhof (& Thomas Annett) of Kansas City, Missouri and her children: Alexis Annett and Angela Annett; a son: Richard Vande Weerdhof Jr of Oskaloosa, Iowa and his children: Richard Reams and another on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an aunt.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, January 7 after 1:00 P.M. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with the family present at the funeral chapel from 5 – 7 P.M. to greet friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter. Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
