New restaurant aims to please

Hot Stone Steak & Pasta Grill

Hot Stone Steak & Pasta Grill is nearly complete. The finishing touches are underway as new employees learn the menu. Hot Stone Steak & Pasta occupies the former Bonanza location on the east side of town along Highway 23.

They open for business on Monday, September 27.  One of the first things anyone entering will notice is the extensive remodeling of the location. Much care has been taken into the atmosphere and presentation.

They describe themselves as a hybrid type of restaurant, offering items in different price ranges for different tastes and desires. They will offer some buffet type eating so that if your in a hurry, you can come in, grab a plate and go if your in a hurry. If your looking for a more high end dinner they will be more than capable of accommodating  that as well. A full bar and full wine service will be available with wine display at the table as part of their service. This will be done in the traditional method. Hot Stone has teamed up with Tassel Ridge Winery to provide wine’s for them. They will also provide martini service at the table as well.

The owners of Hot Stone Steak & Pasta Grill stand in front at their new location.

Their namesake, “The Hot Stone” is a piece of granite heated to about 350 degrees and put into a wooden holder and is sat under the plate to help keep the food warm for more leisurely dining. It is used on their grill items and specialty items such as pasta, that can get tepid after 10 or 15 minutes, so that it will remain hot and steamy. Steaks will remain hot and fresh as well, but not so hot as to continue cooking them. The device has been known to keep the plate hot for over 30 minutes.

They will focus on customer service, their desire is for the customer to never have to ask for a refill, their check, not having to wait for a plate to be cleared and to be at the beck and call of the customer. “Everything to the nth degree” Their chef, Chef Robert who has a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu of Chicago has developed a menu that brings in some home style cooking and blending in some more exotic types of dishes as well.

They will have space available for themed dining. Other events such as Christmas parties are already being booked. There will be catering and eventually delivery as well.
