Muff Garners First Player of the Week Award of Career

Oskaloosa–Connor Muff (Sr., Kenosha, Wis., Business Management) placed great ball after great ball for his hitting crew last week and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Volleyball Setter of the Week Monday.

Muff won his first career laurel by leading the Statesmen (4-1, 3-0 Heart) to victories over (RV) Mount Mercy and #11 Missouri Baptist.

In the sweep over the Mustangs, the senior tallied 36 assists out of the 43 team kills. Speaking of kills, he had three, while also recording four digs, three block assists, and two aces.

Muff then ‘quarterbacked’ the offense in a reverse sweep of the Spartans, tallying a season-high 49 assists with five aces, four digs, three block assists, and a pair of kills. He hit .833 during the week with five winners out of six total attempts.

For the year, Muff has posted 175 assists (9.21 per set) along with 23 digs, 11 aces, nine blocks, and five kills.

The weekly award is the second of the year for WPU.
