Miner, Palmer Win December POM Honors

Oskaloosa–The William Penn University Athletics Booster Club has announced the recipients of the December Player of the Month awards.

Sophomore men’s bowler Jayson Miner (Silvis, Ill., Physical Education) earned the Male award, while senior women’s bowler Bailey Palmer (Ottumwa, Iowa, Biology) claimed the Female honor. The honor is the first for Miner and the second for Palmer in her career.

In three tournaments (21 games), Miner posted a 203.6 average with a high game of 243. He had 14 rounds over 200 and placed fifth once and was in the top 30 once. The sophomore guided his team to three top-10 finishes, including twice being in the top five.

In her three events (21 games), Palmer recorded a 199.5 pin average (high of 244). She produced 12 games over 200 and was third twice. Her efforts helped William Penn to three top-10 showings, including two times in the top five.
