Marguerite Lee, 99, of Parsons, Kansas, and formerly of Fremont, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at her home in Parsons. She was born December 8, 1913 at Fremont, the daughter of Walter and Nelle (Coen) Ehrenhard. She was raised in Fremont and attended school there, graduating from the Fremont High School in 1932. She then attended the William Penn College at Oskaloosa. She began her teaching career in a one-room school house in Fremont and taught there for five years. She then spent one year in California where she worked as a nanny. On March 20, 1938 she was united in marriage to Mac Lee at Fremont and he died on September 11, 1956. In 1963 she returned to teaching and taught fifth grade at the elementary school in Fremont, retiring in 1978. In 2000 she moved to Parsons, Kansas to be near her daughter. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ottumwa, IA and attended First Baptist in Parsons. She was also a member of the Sew and So and Just a Mere sewing clubs in Iowa. Marguerite enjoyed gardening, reading, painting and antiques. She was interested in people and their lives. She was patriotic. Her loves were her church, family and friends. Her family includes: a son: James (&Lila) Lee of Topeka, KS; two daughters: Amy (& Don) Cunningham of Parsons, KS and Elaine Christy of Princeton, NJ; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and three brothers: Coen Ehrenhard, Erwen Ehrenhard, and Robert Ehrenhard.

Interment: Cedar Township Cemetery Fremont, Iowa
