Man Arrested In Beacon On Criminal Mischief Charge
Beacon, Iowa – Mahaska County Sheriff Russ Van Renterghem said that deputies were called to the 100 block of Leighton Street in Beacon around 6 pm on July 19th.
The incident allegedly started in Oskaloosa, and deputies were already on their way to Beacon to speak with a suspect.
Shane Winkleman was charged with criminal mischief, 4th, and 5th degree respectively after allegedly damaging a mailbox and a window, at another residence.
There was no immediate threat to the public.
A criminal charge is merely a criminal charge and not an indication of guilt. All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
