Mahaska Health Partnership

MAHASKA COUNTY – A crowd of more than 140 turned out for Mahaska Health Partnership’s Free Women’s Breast Health night on Tuesday, Oct. 16. The evening featured MHP’s OB/GYN Specialist Dr. Jeffrey Fowler as the keynote speaker. Attendees learned about breast cancer risk factors and ways to protect themselves as well as community resources such as medical treatments and available services.

The Free Women’s Breast Health Night is funded, in part, by a grant from the Southeast Iowa Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The organization has awarded MHP with a grant to provide free digital mammograms to women who are uninsured, underinsured or those with a financial need. For more information about women’s health services available at MHP, visit mahaskahealth.org or call 672-3322.
