Mahaska Health Partnership Welcomes Family Nurse Practitioner Jill Konfrst, ARNP-C
MAHASKA COUNTY – Mahaska Health Partnership is pleased to announce the addition of Family Nurse Practitioner Jill Konfrst, ARNP-C, to its medical staff.
Konfrst will be the new primary care provider at MHP’s New Sharon Medical Center as Family Nurse Practitioner Melissa Lamb, ARNP-BC, transitions to the main MHP campus to work with Allergy/Pediatric Pulmonology Specialist Ron Greaff, MD. “I’m looking forward to getting to know the New Sharon community and serving their healthcare needs,” Konfrst said.
Konfrst received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2001 and began her career in Pella at the Vermeer Clinic. “I cared for a lot of wonderful people in this area and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with them,” Konfrst shared.
According to the American Academy of Nursing, a Family Nurse Practitioner can provide healthcare services similar to a physician. They meet a patient’s primary care needs by performing physicals, diagnoses and ordering tests and treatments as well as providing education for symptom management.
“I became a Nurse Practitioner because I wanted to be able to affect more change in the lives of my patients,” Konfrst explained. “I treat patients how I would expect to be treated and like to work with them to determine what their medical options are for treatment.”
Konfrst stressed that patients can count on her for open, honest communication. To make an appointment at New Sharon Medical Center, call 641-637-2651.
The community is encouraged to attend an Open House celebration on Wednesday, July 11 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. The open house will be an opportunity to meet Jill and wish Melissa well in her new career pursuits at MHP.
