Mahaska County Man Faces Four Counts of Second Degree Sex Abuse
Oskaloosa, Iowa – Bruce Spahr was arrested and charged with four counts of 2nd Degree Sex Abuse, a Class B Felony that carries a maximum of 25 years in prison per count.
In court documents obtained by Osky News, Mahaska County Deputy Don DeKock wrote in his affidavit, “[Spahr] Did unlawfully perform a sex act with a female child who was under the age of twelve at the time the sex act did occur.” It goes on to say that, “This act did occur at the residence of both the victim and the defendant [Spahr] and in the bedroom and on the bed the victim did sleep in at the residence.”
In the signed affidavits, Spahr is accused of performing oral sex on the victim and also touching the victim’s genitals.
Two alleged victims are referenced in court documents.
Spahr’s preliminary hearing is set for December 23, 2011 at 10:00 am, with bond set at $25,000 cash or surety, and if bond is posted, the defendant must report for pretrial supervision.
A criminal charge is merely a criminal charge and not an indication of guilt. All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
