Lynnville-Sully CSD Students Present Death By Dessert
Murder, mystery, mayhem, and comedy will take place within the cast of a who dunnit dinner theatre presented by Lynnville-Sully CSD students on October 28th and 29th. This is a different date that was originally published on the school calendar.
Death By Dessert written by Nathan Hartswick is about two neighboring Italian restaurants sharing a common wall. The families have been feuding for years, and no one seems to know why. But when the cast of six men and seven females all become suspects in the murder of the building’s landlord, it’s up to the restaurateurs to settle their differences. During the meal, it is up to the audience to decide whodunit with the hints from the 20 supporting roles of the wait staff and servers. This delightful murder-mystery comedy will be performed in two acts with dinner being served (and the dessert is to die for).
Auditions have been taking place and the cast will be publicized soon. Director, Ms. Melinda Hardin will be replacing Mrs. Melissa Doll this fall, which are “ ‘hard shoes to fill’ but with a directing experience background and being a speech coach for several years, the audience will defiantly be getting their money’s worth.”
A limited supply of dinner theatre tickets will go on sale the week of October 10th. For additional information please contact Ms. Hardin at hardin@lynnville-sully.k12.ia.
