Louise Englehoven

Oskaloosa. Louise Englehoven, 48, of Oskaloosa, died Saturday, November 6, 2010, at her home in Oskaloosa. She was born on December 11, 1961, the daughter of Carl and Wilda VanPolen Collister. Louise graduated from the Oskaloosa High School with the class of 1980. She furthered her education at Indian Hills Community College by completing C.N.A. training. In 1979 Louise was united in marriage to Greg DeReus, together they had 2 sons Richard and Jason. After 17 years of marriage they divorced. She then married Greg Dieleman in 1998 and they later divorced. On October 19, 2001 she was united in marriage to Rocky Englehoven at Oskaloosa. Early on Louise worked at Dean’s in Oskaloosa; she later managed Sherwin Williams, Aldis and Jiffy. She enjoyed gardening, animals, calligraphy and poetry. Louise had a great love for all people and her dog Jake.

Louise is survived by her husband: Rocky Englehoven of Oskaloosa; 2 sons: Richard (& Misty) DeReus of Ankeny and Jason (& Shandy) DeReus of Oskaloosa; a granddaughter: Serenity; her mother: Wilda Collister of Rose Hill; a special niece, who is like a daughter: Samantha Lowry of Oskaloosa; a brother: Mark (& Pam) Collister of Lacey; a sister: Nancy (& Dean) Swim of Eddyville; a dear friend: Betty Lowry of Oskaloosa; and many foster brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her father; a stepson: Mathew Englehoven and a foster brother: Allen Lowry.

A memorial service for Louise Englehoven will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Danny Fryer officiating. As were her wishes her body has been cremated. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin Wednesday after 11 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel, and the family will be present at the funeral home from 5 – 7 p.m. to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter.
