Local tv talent up for Emmy

CRI's Emmy nominated staff Jon Hoffmann, Stewart "The Kid" Farnaby and Jonathon Gregg

Local talent from the Communication Research Institute here in Oskaloosa have been nominated for a Midwest Regional Emmy. I stopped and visited with CRI’s own Jonathon Gregg and Jon Hoffmann about their recent nominations.

CRI only recently became qualified to participate in the awards, and the team was ready to test the waters and submitted some of their work to the Regional Emmy committee. Both are really excited and will be in attendance for September 25th’s ceremony in Minneapolis. Tickets are available for the event.

Jonathon Gregg has been nominated in the category of Community/Cable/Public Access – Newscast Edited, while Jon Hoffmann is nominated for Children (12 & Under) – Program/Special/Series.

Both are full time salaried employee’s of the program that is part of William Penn’s undergraduate study in digital broadcast. CRI has been bringing news, programming, public events and sports to the Oskaloosa area for over 3 years now. Their programming is available on MCG channel 12, check their website for show times and events. Many of their programs as well as their newscast is available on their website http://www.criwmpennu.org/ and Jon Hoffmann’s kids show is available here http://www.criwmpennu.org/kids/index.html
