Kostric Collects First Award of Year, Third of Career

Oskaloosa–Aleksander Kostric (Grad., Koper, Slovenia, Sports Management) was near the top of the standings in the biggest tournament of the year and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Bowler of the Week Monday.

Kostric won his third career weekly laurel and the first of the campaign after leading William Penn at the Hoosier Classic last weekend.

The graduate student placed 31st out of 528 bowlers with a 208.0 average in six games (1,248 total pins). In those six games, he recorded four rounds with at least 200 pins, headlined by a season-best 279.

For the year, Kostric owns a 199.5 pin average in 60 games. He has tallied one top-25 finish this year.

The award is the first for WPU this season.
