Indianola Captures Lead Early To Defeat Oskaloosa Indians Varsity

Oskaloosa Indians Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-1 loss to Indianola on Wednesday. Indianola scored on a groundout by Connor Howard, a single by Jack Strong, and a home run by Noah Johnston in the first inning.
The Oskaloosa Indians Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Indianola , giving up 12 runs.
Indianola got on the board in the first inning when Howard grounded out, scoring one run.
Howard led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Indianola . The fireballer allowed three hits and one run over two and a third innings, striking out two and walking one.
Jarrett Czerwinski was on the pitcher’s mound for Oskaloosa Indians Varsity. The righthander allowed three hits and four runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. Aiden Hildenbrand and Logan Hoskinson entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively.
Colin Snitker went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Oskaloosa Indians Varsity in hits.
Indianola tallied 14 hits. Bennett Brueck, Howard, Kael Kolarik, Strong, Carter Erickson, and Johnston each managed multiple hits for Indianola . Brueck led Indianola with three hits in four at bats.
