Home Base Iowa Mission Accepted
DES MOINES, IOWA – Governor Terry Branstad is taking steps to match military veterans with jobs in Iowa through the newly accepted Home Base Iowa partnership. William Penn University in Oskaloosa and the College for Working Adults in Clive not only support the Home Base Iowa initiative, but have been actively working with our country’s military veterans for many years. Through partnering with the service member and veteran community, we have worked to identify and understand the existing needs and resource gaps.
From these engagements the university has been building a foundation to offer practical solutions that are inclusive of our business and industry partners throughout the state as well. Through online programs, our College for Working Adults is poised to continue these efforts beyond the state borders. The university is committed to being an effective conduit for economic growth through education and leadership modeling.
Our people are our greatest asset in the community at the local, state and national level. Our country is built on opportunity and William Penn University’s legacy lies in providing an educational experience that remains focused on leadership.
William Penn University will proudly represent our existing and newly arriving community of service men and women by working with our constituents in support of the Home Base Iowa effort.
