The incident occurred at approximately 11:43 p.m. on April 22, 2025, near the intersection of Highway 92 and Dean Avenue. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2001 Chevrolet S10 driven by 52-year-old Laverne F. Brackett of Indianola was traveling westbound on Highway 92 while being pursued by law enforcement.
