Harris: I Proudly Endorse Mark Doland
Editors Note: The views and opinions expressed in this editorial are not necessarily the views or opinions of Osky News.
Some of you might know me from following my editorials at Osky News or you might have met me in 2012 as I had traveled to Mahaska County multiple times to help those candidates that I believed held leadership qualities and had a passion to tackle the problems that we face. Over the 2012 election, I represented the John Archer for Congress campaign, and worked for Larry Sheets who will represent the eastern half of Mahaska County. I was also proud to endorse Ken Rozenboom in January of 2012 who will soon be your State Senator. During that time I had met and talked with a man who understood our problems, and had a passion to do something about it.
I am talking about Mark Doland. Mark is the Republican nominee for Mahaska County Supervisor. Mark is a man that does not want to play politics. He doesn’t want to do this for a title. And no, he doesn’t want to do it for the money. He wants to do it because he believes that his leadership ability and understanding of the issues can help make Mahaska County an even greater county than it already is.
Something that I noticed while visiting Mahaska County over the election season was that this is a place that cares. You care about what is going on. You care about your future, your communities, and believe that everybody is in this together. You don’t see that very often. I have never seen the people of a county so involved, so passionate about whom they elect or what they do. So come January 29, I hope that you continue that tradition of voting for the right guy by voting for Mark Doland for County Supervisor.
With that saying, I proudly endorse Mark Doland for Mahaska County Supervisor.
Sincerely,
Austin Harris
