Oskaloosa–Tyler Hafner (Sr., Oskaloosa, Iowa, Communications) showed he will be capable of getting the job done in the new league, earning Heart of America Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week honors Monday.

Hafner led the 19th-ranked Statesmen to a come-from-behind 35-28 win over #9 Missouri Valley. In the win, the first-time selection rushed 18 times for a team-best 92 yards and two touchdowns. He also completed seven of his 10 passes for 76 yards.

WPU overcame a 15-point second-half deficit with the game’s final 22 points. The senior quarterback scored the game’s first and last touchdowns.

It is the first weekly award for William Penn this year.
