GRINNELL’S DLUHOS IS MWC MEN’S TENNIS PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
GRINNELL, Iowa – For the fourth time this season, a Grinnell College men’s tennis player has been named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week.
Martin Dluhos ’12, from Ostrava, Czech Republic (Gymnazium Olgy Havlove), is the latest Pioneer to win the award.
Dluhos came up with a pair of huge victories as Grinnell, ranked 12th in the Central Region, toppled 11th-ranked Carleton College 6-3 on Sunday. He teamed up with Ishan Bhadkamkar to win at No. 3 doubles and then provided the decisive fifth point by gutting out a 7-6, 2-6, 7-5 victory at No. 3 singles.
Dluhos was a perfect 6-of-6 over the weekend, as he also earned singles and doubles victories against both Lake Forest College and Illinois College.
