GRINNELL COLLEGE’S MICHAEL BRUS NAMED MWC SWIMMING AND DIVING PERFORMER OF THE WEEK AGAIN
GRINNELL, Iowa – For the second time this season, Grinnell College’s Michael Brus ’14 (Davenport, Iowa/North) has been named the Midwest Conference Men’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week.
That helped complete a Pioneer sweep, as teammate Hayley Levin ’16 was named MWC Women’s Performer of the Week.
Brus claimed a pair of event victories in the Pioneers’ dual meet with Connecticut College in Naples, Fla. He won the 400-yard individual medley in 4:15.53 and was part of the first-place 200 freestyle relay that had a clocking of 1:29.24.
Additionally, he was second in the 500 freestyle in 4:49.92. He currently has the top time in the MWC in both the 400 individual medley and 500 freestyle.
