GRINNELL COLLEGE’S KELLY BRUCE NAMED MWC SWIMMING AND DIVING PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Kelly Bruce ’12 has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week.
Bruce, from Middleton, Wis. (Middleton), set a school record in one-meter diving and broke two pool records as the Pioneers won a 169-116 dual meet at Coe College Saturday. Bruce had a score of 277.50 while winning the one-meter event, breaking the previous program best of 275.60 set by Jo Schaalman in 1998.
She also won three-meter diving with a score of 287.02. Both performances by the three-time MWC Women’s Diver of the Year are tops in the league this season.
The Men’s Performer of the Week is Matt Perry of Lake Forest College.
