GRINNELL COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS EARN DIVISION III ALL-ACADEMIC STATUS

GRINNELL, Iowa – Both the Grinnell women’s and men’s cross country teams have earned NCAA Division III All-Academic status for the 2011 campaign from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association

Grinnell’s women had a team grade point average of 3.46 and the men a 3.42. Grinnell’s men were one of 131 schools to earn the honor, while the Pioneer women were one of 187.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic cross country team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or better and have compiled a score (finished at least five runners) at their respective NCAA regional championship.
