Oskaloosa–A record-tying performance helped Elise Warne (Sr., Melbourne, Australia, Exercise Science) net another laurel as she was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week Monday.

Warne won her ninth career award (four this fall) after leading William Penn to a high finish at the NAIA Preview, which featured eight top-25 programs.

The senior carded an 83 the first day, but responded with the best round of her illustrious career, shooting a one-under 71. The score ties her personal-low, but it also marks the first time she has been under par in her career. Program-wise, the 71 ties for the best ever in 18 holes and the one-under also ties for the lowest score versus par.

For the year, Warne owns a 74.9 stroke average in eight rounds. Seven of her rounds have been in the 70s with a low of 71 twice.

The award is the fourth for WPU this year.
