Fill the Stadium Food Drive

William Penn University

William Penn University would like to extend a sincere thank-you to all Mahaska County community members who donated a non-perishable food item at the Fill the Stadium game on Saturday, September 17.

In exchange for each item donated, participants received a raffle ticket for a chance to win a William Penn University prize package. The lucky winner was announced at halftime and walked away with a gift basket that included a stadium blanket, t-shirt, water bottle, lunch box, drawstring backpack, lanyard, window decal, pom poms, and gold spirit beads!

The food drive successfully collected 175 non-perishable items that were donated to the Oskaloosa Ecumenical Cupboard. The Ecumenical Cupboard distributes goods based on need and availability to the greater Mahaska County area. To learn more about specific needs of the Oskaloosa Ecumenical Cupboard, email tec@mahaska.org.

William Penn is thankful for the community’s participation in supporting the Statesmen, the new Community Stadium, and most importantly the less fortunate of our community by donating to the Fill the Stadium non-perishable food drive.
