Fall Colors Hay Ride at Cedar Bluffs Nature Preserve

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Mahaska County Conservation Board invites you to come out to see the fall colors at the Cedar Bluffs Nature Preserve on Saturday, October 13 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. Dress for the weather and enjoy the autumn season with your family and friends by taking a hay ride tour or hike around Cedar Bluffs Nature Preserve. The hayride and hiking trails will lead you along sandstone bluffs covered with trees in autumn colors, an Indian mound and an overlook tower that provides a magnificent view of the Des Moines River. The hayride will leave the parking area every half hour. Before or after the hayride, warm up around a campfire and roast some marshmallows. This event is free and is for all ages!
